Plot
You’re moving with your best friend to the city of Kredon, home to some of the best schools and universities in the country, to continue your studies. However, in Kredon, there’s only one thing everyone talks about: ETERNUM—the virtual, hyper-reality MMORPG game released a few years ago that revolutionized the world of technology.
With a neural implant that recreates the five senses, it becomes impossible to distinguish between the game and the real world.
Thousands of servers form the network of Eternum: from colorful, magic-filled fantasy worlds to foggy sci-fi cities, no world is beyond reach.
Nevertheless, looking beyond the surface, there's a darker side to this pretty facade: black markets, torture, rape, illegal content trafficking, unlawful assemblies, data theft… Eternum follows the rules of no man.
For some reason, governments turn a blind eye to this; there’s no regulation and no control. Some say it’s because the game is highly addictive, some say it’s because the market moves millions of dollars daily, some say those in power have been bribed, and others say… there’s something else going on.
And you? What’s your role in this story?
Well... That’s up to you now.

The best game ever. The NSFW scenes are a huge bonus for sure, but the story & character development & relationships take the cake for me. Very well written. Never a dull moment. I always look forward to the next update. Thank you for all that you do, caribdis.

Lo he jugados varia veces y siempre me sorprenden algunas cosas que no me había dado cuenta, como el hecho de que a Annie su película favorita es ready player one y cambia durante la cita con el mc al terminar de ver interestelar y así pasa muchas veces pequeño detalles que van cambiando. Hey. So I came into a problem while playing the game, whenever I'm supposed to earn a heart for dalia, I don't earn anything.
At first I thought it was just a visual glitch, but then I saw that I wasn't on her path anymore. I don't understand how or why it happened, I just wanna know if there's a way around it.
Path loss is permanent; you need to load a save and see whether you can make better choices. I wrote a walkthrough specifically for troubleshooting, like in your case! You can find it here, 3rd download option.

I think in part it may be because the game is initially presenting Eternum as simply a virtual world, and the main paths are meant only for "real" people, i.e. people you meet in the real world. It'd be an interesting thing if she suddenly counted as a major/main character halfway through the game though, after (for instance) a discovery that Eternum is more than just a game. A change in format going along with a change in the story, so to speak.
Yeah that's true. I'm thinking we get to have a scene with her by the end of the game as a reward for getting her back to her own world.
I love this game and its characters are beautiful, does anyone know what program is used to render characters like these?
I've always wanted to try to make a render with characters of this type and maybe try to make a game in the future but I don't know where these renders are made.
If anyone knows what the program is called or if it is a package of models in a program, I would greatly appreciate the information. 🫶
If I'm not mistaken it's Honey Select 2. I've never tried it myself but I got curious cuz I like the style.
I started playing this game a few days and BOY did it exceed expectations. Of course, I started playing for the explicit scenes but I didn't expect how awesome the story is! I mean, this would be my first VN but I'd say it'd be an amazing one to start off with, no? I haven't finished the latest update yet (I'm kinda in the middle of playing while typing this out) but I can't wait for future updates! I'd like to extend my greatest gratitude to Caribdis in making this game. I can't get over how many references (and puns!) you put in here! Take all the time you need in making this game as close to your vision as possible. Don't overdo yourself!
P.S. Any recommendations for a newbie like me? Planning on starting Once In A Lifetime alongside this.

That game felt like less forgiving with making wrong decisions, with the girls and otherwise. As a basic rule: the girls should always come first when making decisions involving them. Also remember, Mike is the best friend you could have. Also you should make sure to win the game show... Although there's kinda "funny" turn of events if you do not, try it. ;)

I like Eternum for its mystery. I like making up my own theories about what'll happen and stuff. But mainly, a great story with great character relationships is what I'm looking for, which Eternum definitely provides.
Cross Realms is one that has started recently but has a really cool concept and is more story focused. A House In The Rift is also a decent option if you want a sandbox experience

I was just testing the game on my Android phone and feel the need to inform people that it's better to take Calypso's word on this one. The Royal Protocol drained like 40% of the battery of my phone in less than three seconds. Do not underestimate the elven magic, you will be left disappointed...

A common way to lose Dalia is waking her up in the morning, instead offer to make breakfast and it should work

I know this is categorized as a porn game, but honestly, it’s so much more than that. This is the first game of this genre I’ve ever felt comfortable sharing with my friends, simply because of how beautifully the relationships and moments are portrayed. What you’ve created, from Alex’s Grandma, Nancy’s backstory, to Penelope, and the beach scene with Dalia—it's all incredible. And don’t even get me started on how amazing Chang is as a character. Every single person in the game feels so real, and the way you weave their memories into these heartfelt scenes... wow, it’s just breathtaking.
I love how you slowly build towards the more intimate and romantic moments, and how each character’s feelings and thoughts truly matter—it’s all so captivating. The interactions feel natural and meaningful, and the pacing is just perfect.
I’ve been following your work for a few years now, ever since I stumbled upon Once in a Lifetime, and now with Eternum you’ve set the bar for me when it comes to both storytelling and the quality of visuals.
Your writing never gets old. I laugh, I get emotional, and I genuinely care about these characters and their lives. You’ve managed to make me forget this is even a porn game, and instead, it feels like a beautiful mix of very hot romance, comedy, and adventure.

Then again, a movie with sex scenes, even very explicit ones, is not necessarily categorized as porn... I think many people are having double standards regarding this subject.

Quick question, if you perhaps managed to mess up somewhere with one of the girls and forgot what them being grayed out meant and you are very far in the game and dont have an early save to before she was grayed, is there something i can do to fix it
Not really. Sure you could use editing software to flip the path variable to active but you would have already missed content.
Your best bet is to start over. You can speed skip through dialogue you've already seen.
He's right, it sucks when that happens. I made mods for Eternum and Once in a Lifetime that can protect you from something like this happening again, without you needing to play by wakthrough for the entire game.

I really hope we could see more of Eva. After seeing her again in the wild west server, I just can't help missing her already. I know she is a side girl and won't get the same treatment like other heroines. But sill, giving the consequence that our beloved chad Orion is the reason why Eva lost her job, he should give her some "compensation" or even better, ascend Eva to the herion status in the future if that is possible(And Maat, and Clay lol). Seriously, even the side girls is so charming and breathtaking, I just wish to have more of them.

I was playing this game I installed from itch.io called "Ripples" and at one point a black haired woman mentioned a VR game called "Eternum". Is the "Ripples" game in the same universe as the game "Eternum"? As far as I know "Ripples" was not made by the same developers who made the game "Eternum". Is it just an easter egg?
yeah! ripples also has easter eggs from caribdis' other game, once in a lifetime. the devs have easter eggs in each others games

They're not in the same universe. It's very common for devs to make little nods and cameos to other titles. Eternum similarly has easter eggs from Ripples and a few other titles.

Hey! I'm here, once again.
After playing for another few hours a again realized how freaking good this is. I also realized the desperation for this being real. I actually had this feeling in couple of games, one of them was Cyberpunk, the other ones are roleplay games. I am proud to say that this has better story than anything. It's the type of a game, that will change your view on the real world! Unfortunately, I would not recommend this to someone having some sad times in life. I am a little jealous of all the characters in this game. I know, it sounds weird and maybe I'm the only one feeling like this.. but whatever, it's worth it.

I made an account to reply to this. This was the first adult game I played. I feel the same way you do. The adventure in the game in incredible with the beautiful aesthetics and places. The music is beautiful too. And the girls and relationships with them. I've never liked romance much, but this game really had me feel for all these things. I long for a life like this, I wish this was my reality too. It's too good. And irl life is too shit. My life isn't bad but it's just mundane and aimless. I wonder if I'll ever experience anything like in this game.

I might add that the "adult content" is optional. At least I think so, I'm also pretty sure you can get a good ending in Once in a Lifetime withour having a sinle lewd scene. If you're more deterred by brains splattered on the walls and such, then this is definately not your cup of tea. I'm afraid you cannot avoid some of those incidents.

I have a question. I've deleted all the files in the saves folder (wanted to do a fresh run), but all my old saves still show up in game. Are the saves also stored locally, and if so, where? Thanks.
Yo just go to android folder then search for something like caribdis.eternam delete that folder then play the game if still saved not clear then go to document if you found the game folder in document then delete that also 👍🏻

Ohh you're on pc you should tell that first. Yeah delete that and reinstall or extract whatever.

Okay.. here me out. I'm not the type of person that likes fap NSFW games and stuff.. but man. This game is something different. I'm not talking about the sex scenes, I'm not even that far in the story but it will eat you up. The artworks are gorgeous and the relationships are even better. It's actually the first game like this I play and I don't regret installing it. I don't understand why is it free and I'm giving a freaking huge tip when I get the chance! As I said I'm not talking about the s*x scenes, I'm talking about the story and the idea behind it. It would be really nice if this was a movie or a full AAA game. If you looking for story thrilling game with aspects of relationships and sometimes s*x, it's a must have. I guess I'm not even that far in the story.. but man, this thing is something different. I'm gonna give an update when I play it whole. At the moment I want somebody to create thing like "Eternum" in real life.

If you are looking for good quality then yes, If you are looking for beautiful arts then yes, If you are looking for Cute, Gorgeous or sexy girl then FUCKING YES! If you are looking for a great story then it's ANOTHER FUCKING YES! And if you are looking for great s*x scenes then.......... HUGE FUCKING YES! If this game isn't called a masterpiece then I don't know which one should be called. The story so much mystery and the art makes it more enjoyable.
