Plot
You’re moving with your best friend to the city of Kredon, home to some of the best schools and universities in the country, to continue your studies. However, in Kredon, there’s only one thing everyone talks about: ETERNUM—the virtual, hyper-reality MMORPG game released a few years ago that revolutionized the world of technology.
With a neural implant that recreates the five senses, it becomes impossible to distinguish between the game and the real world.
Thousands of servers form the network of Eternum: from colorful, magic-filled fantasy worlds to foggy sci-fi cities, no world is beyond reach.
Nevertheless, looking beyond the surface, there's a darker side to this pretty facade: black markets, torture, rape, illegal content trafficking, unlawful assemblies, data theft… Eternum follows the rules of no man.
For some reason, governments turn a blind eye to this; there’s no regulation and no control. Some say it’s because the game is highly addictive, some say it’s because the market moves millions of dollars daily, some say those in power have been bribed, and others say… there’s something else going on.
And you? What’s your role in this story?
Well... That’s up to you now.

Im going to be real, you should make a version of the game without the porn stuff. I came here because i was curious how adult things on itch could get, but i found the dirty bits getting in the way of an otherwise super interesting story with characters I'm really digging. I started off mashing through to get to the "Good" parts, and i quickly started reading the entire thing, and now the story IS the good parts, but i cant just recommend a porn game to my friends, ya know?
I finished eternium for now, the game is perfect in everything, this is basically a great concept for an SAO/Ready player one world
Would be funny if we got a crossover with once in a lifetime

Also, Nova = best girl. Even the song the plays in the library with her is a banger. Plus the cosplay.
I was into Luna more at first, but Nova is just so loveably neurotic.

Lastly, I appreciate the character depth. Having back stories, including some tragedy is nice.

when will 0.8 come out
If we go by the recent release it's about 8 months. So I'm guessing Late Dec - Early Jan. The updates are a bit bigger now. I'll wait as long as it takes.

Don't act entitled, dude. This is one of the best visual novels on the market right now; you can wait for the stellar production quality, magnificent writing, clean interface, sexy characters, and engaging plot... or you can go to PornHub to get your fix. Choice is yours.
There was a poll a long while back on Patreon that asked if people wanted meatier updates with longer dev time or shorter updates with quicker dev time. The former won, so folks will just have to deal with it.

Haha, same! Eternum was the first, and so far only Adult Visual Novel that I have ever played. Except for that one time I made the mistake of playing Ripples. But, we do not talk about that.
When I first got it, I was so hooked on the story that I was at the computer for *hours.* By the time I was finally done, my hand was numb for days!

I really liked "Callisto" .... The start is a little weird if you are not used to that sort of interactive gameplay , but the story of that game is definitely worth playing it.

"Ripples" is worth checking out. I think it is on par with Eternum but we all have our own opinions as to how they match up.

I agree with you, though. That said, I do not think there is anything to worry about. Caribdis knows that cheating is a rightfully frowned upon kink. He also knows that the players love Orion as a main character, and love to root for him. And he knows that the players love the supporting cast as well.
Caribdis is a good game developer, and he knows that in order for a game to succeed, the players have to care about the story, and like the characters. So, he knows better than to jeopardize the respect the players have for Orion and the love that they have for the girls by including a cheating plotline into the story. Whether it is Orion cheating on the girls or the girls cheating on him.
I understand and agree with your concern, Bluezofficialyt. But, I do not think it is going to be a problem. I hope this puts your troubled mind at ease! :)
NTR is an acronym for two Japansese terms.
'Netorare' = A love Interest is 'stolen' by someone else
'Netori = The MC 'steals' a love interest from someone else.

Just a question hopefully without spoilers... Did I screw up somewhere or is what happened (hopefully it's clear what I mean) actually the end of available content and is meant to happen? If it's the end of the content... My word this is a cliffhanger. Right after the best scenes so far, too!

Mild spoilers:
You were the blind guy, right? The game does have a few QTEs where you need to click a prompt on screen as soon as it appears. There's no choice to make, you just have to click it fast enough. For someone who can see the QTEs are easy, even if caught off guard. In the scene you're mentioning there are 3 QTEs back to back. I don't know how they would work for you.

i really don't care about spoiling so no worries. i am at the gladiator fight. how to know when to dodge and block and attack? and what is the correct sequence? it is not accessible when it gets to that point

Howdy, Caribdis! I just wanted to quickly compliment you on three things that I have never really given any praise to before, but that I want to now, now that I realize this.
For one: I appreciate the artstyle. It is not until you play a game that does not have graphics like Eternum, that you appreciate the graphics in Eternum. I like the healthy mix of cartoonish and realistic. It looks very good, and I think you should keep it around, for your next game!
For two: I appreciate the pacing. It is not until you play a game that immediately jumps straight into lewd scenes right after starting a new game, that you appreciate the slower pacing of Eternum, and how that slower pacing makes the few and far between lewd scenes feel so, so much more rewarding.
For three: I appreciate the simplicity. It is not until you play a game that has expensive looking animations at every turn, that you appreciate Eternum saving the high quality motion for only the lewd scenes and the action scenes. Like the reasoning for the second compliment, keeping most of the game as a still-screen and saving the actual animations for just lewd stuff and action stuff, makes the actual animations feel far more rewarding.
Bonus: I appreciate the game page being easy to navigate, with all of the information you could possibly need, being layed out in a very neat way. It does not look clogged up, it has good coloring, it does not lag, and it has everything. It is very nice.
Okay, in-case the message is not obvious by now, I played another Adult Visual Novel - Ripples. I did not like what I found. So, I wanted to blow off some of that steam, by coming here, and complimenting you about everything that I like about Eternum, that Ripples does not have. I felt that blowing off that steam by complimenting you instead of just dunking on Ripples was the better way to go. Spreading positivity and all that.
Anyway, keep up the good work, man! I cannot wait for 0.8! :D

Penelope and Luna most definitely. Luna is worried about touching people, and Penelope says multiple times throughout the game that she is waiting for her "Prince Charming" as she put it. She even says in one of the lewd scenes that she is not a "first date" kind of gal. So, until Orion came along, Penelope was most definitely a virgin.
Alex, maybe, but I do not know. On one hand, she tends to keep to herself, and it even takes a while for Orion to gain her trust to that level. On the other hand, she is pretty dirty-minded. So, who knows?
Please which one should i trust vasil or hasler? Please answer creator or anyone who knows the right answer. I don't want to mess up my gameplay because of this option and i didn't mess up a single one until now either. The walkthrough says there's no right choices.

There is no right or wrong answer to this choice. Only two different branches to that plotline
Wether the choice is between the lesser of two evils or a classic good/bad one is up to you.

The walkthrough is optimized so that if you follow it you will get the harem ending without issue. However, there will be points in the game where there is no right or wrong answer and is more of a "choose your poison" moment. Hasil v. Hasler is one of them.
If anything tho, the "consequences" mentioned in the walkthrough will likely be on the state of the server when we eventually return to it in a future update, and not that it could lead to losing a girl's path in the future (the walkthrough will warn players beforehand about it if that were the case).
