Once In a Lifetime was the first game I downloaded from Itch. That was a very good game. But this is on another level. I played the previous one at least thrice. Caribdis' games got me hooked. I'm eager for the next update.

Had a really rude awakening once I've noticed they replaced a bunch of the songs with AI music. Completely ruins the vibe for me, cannot enjoy this anymore. Uninstalled.
There are ways to restore the old tracks if you like! At the time, this was kind of a desperate move, see the dev's announcement about it. The only immediate alternative would've been to have no music at all for the segments in question. I'm not too happy about the change either, but mainly because of nostalgia; the few samples I heard were actually quite good.
I'm trying to be fair to AI art (and music) as an emerging technology. Some treat it as the ultimate tool, others think it's bad no matter what. For the time being, I'm deciding on it case by case. It's definitely easier to create slop now, but someone experienced can certainly leverage its strengths.

However, this game really transcends what you usually might come to expect from visual novels cause holy SHIT this game is good. Humour is top tier, drama is top tier, story-telling is top tier, character design is top-tier, world building is elite. Genuinely, EVERYTHING about this game is fantastic. I'm not in a financial position to support the creator but please guys give this person and or group the props they deserve cause I've genuinely found myself thinking about the game in my day to day thinking how much I want to keep playing. (also the use of sound in this game is the best I've ever seen in the visual novel department.) I genuinely cannot wait for the final version of this game!
Okay, so, is dalia, luna, and alex disappearing from the girls menu a bug? They're just grayed out and i cant click on them. Same thing happened early in the game where I wasn't able to select side girls.

The characters in the game are vivid and full of personality. Their stories and emotions can instantly substitute me, as if I were a member of the story. And its narrative rhythm is just right, so it doesn't feel sluggish or confused because it is moving too fast.

If the official really joined the dubbing, you can generally set the dubbing volume in the settings. If you don't like it, you can set it to zero directly.It will be a great joy for people who like to have voices, hahaha.
I'd also like voices but I think that's best suggested for a future game. Implementing it now while it's in progress would make things slower & not to mention the costs & time to find fitting voices for each.

This IS the GOAT of the genre... bar none! The NLT devs are great in their own space, but this one has them all beat. If this could be made available on Steam as-is without their restrictions it would just skyrocket.
just wondering if itch is getting paid to allow these bot’s on the site. It has been reported I bet over a 1000 times with all the other games on there platform with out them doing anything to seriously to stop them from spamming their messages and links. It seems simple just make a program that will check each account every few hours to see if they exceed a limit of links able to be posted daily if exceeds limit temp ban them. If happened multiple times perm ban.
Yeah, I saw accounts "created 20 minutes ago" that are at work making their 100th spam post. Even if Itch got caught unprepared for this, I wish they'd at least give devs the tools to moderate their comment sections better.
I wouldn't conclude that Itch is in on it, but I'm still disappointed at Itch. The ultimate villains are the spammers of course. If you're ill prepared against parasites, some low lifeform will eventually step up to exploit you, that's just nature.
lol wait till they start making their own fake games with AI like canva’s 3d or with another program where they place links hidden behind a picture you have to click on to continue the story. Chuckles I already play and unzip all files offline in case of this. And I don’t download any games under a hours worth of game play that’s normally 12,500 words give or take a few, 20-50 renders that could be used over and 4-8 chats per render and who knows how many characters movements and facial expressions lol yea I know a little about making a game well I ran my mouth long enough back to writing my own story again take care.
This game is an absolute masterpiece, it really gives me the feeling of being part of the world, the characters feel so so real, I even cried at some point in the story, I didn't expect to stumble upon something this good looking for a NSFW visual novel to play .😭
How do you really begin to describe the undisputed GOAT of AVN's? I suppose first, as I see it the most important thing. The characters of Eternum are absolutely amazing, each one has their own arc, their own personality, interests, way of speaking, aesthetic. They truly feel alive, allowing you to develop real emotional connections to them. The designs for these characters are also incredible, they're each unique and memorable, my two personal favorites are Alex and Calypso. Now onto the story, I'll admit going into it, I expected a porn game, with poor story telling, mediocre writing, but hey at least it's porn. Well, I couldn't have been farther from the truth, this game is an absolute cinematic joyride. The concept itself isn't particularly unique, but it's MADE unique in the way that it's told, and the concepts it introduces. Eternum as a concept allows for a plethora of different environments and worlds to visit, each with unique styles of dialogue, from a futuristic Cyberpunk city, to witch burning, to "Hogwarts", to space, to the old west. Just to name a few, this game is absolutely jam packed with different places to visit, all with different character arcs. Next would be visuals, Eternum is still the most beautiful AVN I've played, some scenes are almost like paintings, it's absolutely gorgeous. The humor in Eternum is also some of the best i've not only seen in AVN's, but in games period. From the ridiculous references, the the hilarious characters, to the witty banter, it's all truly phenomenal, this game has brought me to tears with some of it's over the top comedy, particularly the Dark Souls references. The romance in Eternum is also my favorite in AVN's, I find it to be the perfect pace, it's not a sex simulator, it's about the characters, you get those scenes after bonding with these characters. The romance in this game is truly personal and intimate, and I appreciate it taking its time. The NSFW scenes in this game are also the best I've seen in AVN's. The last thing i'll bring up, is the music. The music selection in Eternum is second to none, I absolutely adore the tracks chosen, they all fit the environments and interactions taking place. Overall, this game is genuinely something special, a true 10/10, i'm looking forward to 0.9 as we speak. Caribdis, you are an absolute legend, and the undisputed GOAT.

I think i noticed how the scene in the elevator feels a bit less impactfull because of the problems with the music, haven't seen it with most, but I think that was where I felt like the tone was different.
I'm not demanding anything, I will see if thera re changes or not, but I thought I mention what I can remember since I can't sleep anyway.
I tried HS2 (The 'engine' used to make this) & all I can tell you is there's a ton of stuff to learn about it & get used to, especially when it takes up so much space in your drive & the crazy amounts of mods you'd have to get used to, to create something of this quality would be really difficult.
I'd even go so far as to say it's a miracle that the dev is still going on strong 'cause if it were me, I'd surely burnout. Might be glazing but this is why Caribdis is often regarded as the greatest when it comes to AVNs. I also admire the fact that Cari is taking their time to put out high quality. The latest version is proof of that. So it may be slow but the wait will be worth it, no point in rushing the dev.
I don't care if it takes a year or two, as long as it's stays as a masterpiece then I'll be waiting patiently like a dog not knowing his owner is gone.

the characters are exceedingly well written in a story that grabs your sack and doesn't let go.
the story is fantastic with cute romances that feel natural and real, harem aspect removed.
you always see this at the top of AVNs on itch you dickhead, and its up there despite its relative young age for a very good reason.
Cari's work is nearly unrivaled, play immediately.
