been loving the game so far. I've encountered one issue though: when I tap on the top left and want to see a girl's stats, the error "The BrightnessMatrix is not defined" always pops up, so I can't see any stats. It doesn't crash the game, I just can't see those stats (I'm on android btw, installed the 0.4 version of 2.1GB)

I just finished the game and the latest version is almost here, So can I ask a question? How do I keep my progress and transfer it to the new version of the game.
If you are playing on PC, Renpy keeps your saves in a seperate folder, so just download the new version when it drops and when you hit load they'll be there.
I think there is a little more to the mobile version, Cari doesnt work on the android port though, but searching out how to transfer renpy saves on android should give you what you need to know, or other mobile players in the discord can tell you it will be opening back up to joining soon with the public release.
I have been waiting for public release of 0.5 for a while now and im so antsy for it to drop. 0.4 was such a wild ride and the cliffhanger has kept me awake many a nights wanting to know what happens lol. I did however convince my friends into getting Eternum as well and now i dont feel so bad since now we all chat about it and waiting eagerly for the 0.5 ♥ Keep up the amazing work and i will be looking forward to the day full release happens as well!!!
Excelent job so far. If the writing keeps up like this, I'll consider this my new peak for the genre.
One note though: lighting will need some more work in some scenes. E.g. in the fight with Thantos, is was not able to discern what has happend to him. If the text wouldn't have mentioned it, I still would not know what happend. Or on the Egypt inspired Server, the interior felt exessively artificial.
Hi, thanks for the kind words. I dont have these issues with dim lighting in these scenes. Is your monitor brightness turned down any or have any graphics settings that might be effecting it?
Hi, Monitor (IPS) is on max brightness and I play in Fullscreen @1440p. No other changes to graphics have been done. If nobody else is mentioning this / you are happy with it, then I guess it's just my bias at play here.
Hey Caribdis idk if you read these or not but i got a question how long is this game gonna be ? i believe i hear longer than OIALT so does that mean its going beyond 1.0? i ask cause i wanna know how many scenes i can expect from my girl Alex and luna also what do the Relationship hearts even do? it doesnt feel like they matter if they increase or not idk maybe its just me but it feels like they could be as low as possible and nothing changes between the girls. ALSO much love your writing is top tier and the luna and Alex scenes with the father and her grandmother and luna with her special quirk and her mother shit really got me i might have cried a bit lmao anyway IM Impressed i really feel a connection with this game.
Hi, he has not committed to a specific chapter number so as not to get locked into any constraints. It will indeed be going past ten chapters. In fact, with the new release coming soon, it will already be bigger than oialt in total size and length. So you can expect a lot of scenes, we are thinking its only around 30% done or so.
as far as the hearts, its an indication of overall affection, but the points checks are running in the background this time as opposed to OIALT where the walkthrough would say "you need at least 8 points with X character" this one is happening behind the scenes. The walkthrough shows all the correct choices to see everything and keep all girls in the harem for the best ending, money mangagement etc if you're curious about anything and its pretty spoiler free.

About the hearts and what u said i assume once it gets to that scene if i dont have enough hearts with alex for example that scene wouldnt play out instead she would probably tell us to go back to the mansion for the mission i wonder how that would work if u build up enough hearts later on because i could potentially skip the buildup scenes and skip straight to a sex one in that case also do u guys have any plans to make Calpyso another waifu in the harem or will she get a side scene shes got alot of potential. As far as not enough points with a girl yes it would just play out without the lewd scene, but once their path is gone it's gone forever, there won't he skipping to lewd scenes with no buildup, you're on the path or you arent.
Calypso is going to be a romancable love interest yes and will have scenes..but not in the harem and wont have the amount of content the harem girls do. She will be "different".
I have tried multiple "similar" games after I finished the last update to scratch the itch, but nothing measures up to this creator's work, (if someone can rec me some games that are similar, please do, maybe I missed some). The animations, the character models, the story, the pacing... everything is peak perfection. This really is top tier for me. TOP TIER. I hope Eternum isn't the last project this creator will work on. Amazing, truly amazing.
Ill reccomend you to try Projekt:Passion and Fates Collide, these are both story-focused game. Projekt:Passion has an interesting story, really good sex scenes like eternum and there are ANIMATED with VOICE ACTING cut scenes inside the game tho so i definitely recommend it. And Fates Collide has a decent story and fun characters. Some characters from Eternum is in the game like Micaela and Chang (they're the only characters from eternum in it).
Eternum is definitely one of the best there is, the best imo. worry not, even though Eternum has a LONG time to go, he is planning to make a third game when its done!

Turns out I can donate some hard earned bucks to this project, but I can't certainly do that for a longer time span, so I can't continuously donate in a regular manner, as I need to keep check on my monthly bills, so this kinda became a principal I avoid an rather donate a good amount I know for sure I can give away. as far as translations, Cari always welcomes the community to translate the game into their native language if they have the know how. We currently have community members who translate the game into Korean and Chinese, so if you know another language and know how to work with Renpy that would be awesome.

Just finished it too (0.4), talk about a cliffhanger ! That makes the wait difficult ! Calling this game Great would be an understatement, it is a masterpiece and definitely in my top 2 along Tales of Unending Void. If anyone knows other games with that level of story+graphisms, I'm all ears.
But back to Eternum, yep, definitely a masterpiece. Can't wait for the next updates !
I enjoyed tales of the unending voide but never finished. I also liked Callisto, Once in a lifetime, Being a Dik (for the same humour) and the Deluca family.
Just finished the 0.4 story, and I'm beyond impressed, I figured Once in a Lifetime was this devs peak, but somehow it's been topped, potentially my top visual novel game!
I love this game! Not only are the girls hot and the sex steamy, but the story is actually quite entertaining. If you took the sex out, I'd still play this game.
He isnt officialy revealing that so as not to get locked into a set amoumt of updates etc but its not halfway yet. We estimate we are between 25 and 30 percent complete now.

Well, Eternum is in the same world, takes place around 13 years later give or take a year. As far as a direct game with that cast in that time period, that is not planned. Its a complete game with a wrapped ending and Eternum is the focus now. After Eternum Cari has mentioned he would like to make another new game.
I have to say you spoiled 95% of the AVNs on this site for me. Now that I have experienced this, I just can't go back.
The graphics are exceptional. The environments are beautiful and rich and so diverse and suited to the theme of the server. The bodies are sculpted with a degree of realism (and beauty) that is simply stunning. I must say that the first interaction with Nancy blew my mind because of how great and realistic she looked.
And that's only the optics. The whole story is gripping and you develop a genuine releationship with the characters along the way. But the best was when I relaized tht every time you visit a different server in Eternum, the whole feel of the game changes as if the game switched genres to accomodate the server. That's hard to do, and even harder to incorporate so effortlessly that it took me some time to realize this.
This is easliy in my top 5 AVN ever, even if there is not yet a ton of content.
I truly do hope, my guy Caribdis gets the support wich will allow him to publish just the same quality at a higher rate. Even if this was a childfriendly VN, I'd have played it, thats how well most parts are written.
Going any faster really isnt possinle. Cari already works like a madman and everyone involved works hard on it. For avns this update frequency is already quite high. More support does mean more animations..more custom asset possibilities..music..etc though so all support matters. Glad you're enjoying it.

I agree... there was a dialogue like that during the party, but there is no such option when you go to the locker room....either way, you need to follow Penelope.
It doesnt make sense in the narrative for a scene with her. It was never supposed to be an option. It says in the dialog he isnt going to do it just after she proposes it. However something is in the works to happen if you to go to her in the public release. Which is by the way 2/14. If youve played it thus far outside of patreon or subscribstar its pirated. Those and itch are the only official releases, for future ref.
I downloaded because of the visuals but stayed for the story. The story and the comedy is AMAZING. If the story and intrigue gets even better in the final product I would buy it for my friends that dont even play visual novels as it is on par with monster girl quest on story and charscter development. It would be better if there are voice actors, it will cost more to make buy i would still buy it at 60$ or even 100$ its that good.
The sex scenes are a bit lacking in content it needs more positions in a scene because it just looks like a loop at times. The character models are really good. I really like where nova/jinx climbed up the table seamlesly in 0.5, I hope there are more content for each characters.
I really like the horror and mystery segments as it gives weight and seriousness to the story

Glad youre enjoyijng it. For an indie game VA is usually not possible its very expensive and adds massive amounts of developement time.
As far as sex scenes as the relationships progress those will as well. This is a story and character first focused game.
Please refrain from posting spoilers about 0.5 it's not been publicly released yet. Outside of patreon and subscribestar anything else out right now is pirated. Public release is 2/14.
Just got done playing 0.5, and I must say, this is one of the best stories I've ever played, don't get me wrong, I love the porn stuff, but the story is what really makes this game stand out to me. Keep up the amazing work, can't wait to see what 0.6 has in store.

So I played your demo, and I must say, the plot is genius, graphics were fantastic, I would even donate to the cause, but not at it's current game content. I would be a donater if u had about half of this game completed. However, due to lack of content, I can't see donating as of yet
Glad youre enjoying, development of a project this size for an indie project for one person is a huge amount of work. It's a big project. The amount of content currently done actually already eclipses some finished AVNs and the frequency and size of the updates is very high for the AVN genre.
That's good news for sure, as I can tell it's a huge game with a ton of content, and I was super addicted to the game within a game concept and how brilliant the plot is all executed.
i know that making an animation is veryyyyyy hard that.'s why i can't say that make ur game fully animated coz i m also animator. All i can say that add audio plzz coz i m so lazy to read....
Sadly that costs a whole lot of money for good VA and a massive amount of development time. Fully voiced AVNs for a one or two man project really isnt feasible.
How the audio is blended in it's current state and plot readability, adding more audio just to sate ur lack of motivation to read is assinine. The way it's made now is flawless and ultra immersive if you just lose yourself in it.

There are two android downloads available..if you get this error try the other one..this works for most people.

Cari always appreciates all support regardless of amount, there are many people who come in and out with donations as they are able, or only at release times to get the new chapter early, there is nothing to feel bad about. everything matters.
as far as translations, Cari always welcomes the community to translate the game into their native language if they have the know how. We currently have community members who translate the game into Korean and Chinese, so if you know another language and know how to work with Renpy that would be awesome.
Thanks for the friendly response, Tony! Looks like we'll meet in Disc soonish and as it seems, my native isn't being in the works already. I may only have some basic understanding with Renpy so far, but as I'm versed with modding games since (too many) years and am around people that circle too, I am quickly fiddling my way into it I think.

Just finished it too (0.4), talk about a cliffhanger ! That makes the wait difficult ! Calling this game Great would be an understatement, it is a masterpiece and definitely in my top 2 along Tales of Unending Void. If anyone knows other games with that level of story+graphisms, I'm all ears.
But back to Eternum, yep, definitely a masterpiece. Can't wait for the next updates !
You should also try Caribdis' first game, Once in a Lifetime.

I enjoyed tales of the unending voide but never finished. I also liked Callisto, Once in a lifetime, Being a Dik (for the same humour) and the Deluca family.

Just finished the 0.4 story, and I'm beyond impressed, I figured Once in a Lifetime was this devs peak, but somehow it's been topped, potentially my top visual novel game!

I love this game! Not only are the girls hot and the sex steamy, but the story is actually quite entertaining. If you took the sex out, I'd still play this game.
The mark of a great avn...would it still be compelling without the lewd content.

He isnt officialy revealing that so as not to get locked into a set amoumt of updates etc but its not halfway yet. We estimate we are between 25 and 30 percent complete now.

However its not released outside of patreon/subscribestar yet, so if you played it outside of those its leaked/pirated, for future reference. If its not on one of those or here on itch its not legit. Public release is Feb. 14th and will include some fixes.

Well, Eternum is in the same world, takes place around 13 years later give or take a year. As far as a direct game with that cast in that time period, that is not planned. Its a complete game with a wrapped ending and Eternum is the focus now. After Eternum Cari has mentioned he would like to make another new game.
I have to say you spoiled 95% of the AVNs on this site for me. Now that I have experienced this, I just can't go back.
The graphics are exceptional. The environments are beautiful and rich and so diverse and suited to the theme of the server. The bodies are sculpted with a degree of realism (and beauty) that is simply stunning. I must say that the first interaction with Nancy blew my mind because of how great and realistic she looked.
And that's only the optics. The whole story is gripping and you develop a genuine releationship with the characters along the way. But the best was when I relaized tht every time you visit a different server in Eternum, the whole feel of the game changes as if the game switched genres to accomodate the server. That's hard to do, and even harder to incorporate so effortlessly that it took me some time to realize this.
This is easliy in my top 5 AVN ever, even if there is not yet a ton of content.

I truly do hope, my guy Caribdis gets the support wich will allow him to publish just the same quality at a higher rate. Even if this was a childfriendly VN, I'd have played it, thats how well most parts are written.
Going any faster really isnt possinle. Cari already works like a madman and everyone involved works hard on it. For avns this update frequency is already quite high. More support does mean more animations..more custom asset possibilities..music..etc though so all support matters. Glad you're enjoying it.

I agree... there was a dialogue like that during the party, but there is no such option when you go to the locker room....either way, you need to follow Penelope.
It doesnt make sense in the narrative for a scene with her. It was never supposed to be an option. It says in the dialog he isnt going to do it just after she proposes it. However something is in the works to happen if you to go to her in the public release. Which is by the way 2/14. If youve played it thus far outside of patreon or subscribstar its pirated. Those and itch are the only official releases, for future ref.
I downloaded because of the visuals but stayed for the story. The story and the comedy is AMAZING. If the story and intrigue gets even better in the final product I would buy it for my friends that dont even play visual novels as it is on par with monster girl quest on story and charscter development. It would be better if there are voice actors, it will cost more to make buy i would still buy it at 60$ or even 100$ its that good.
The sex scenes are a bit lacking in content it needs more positions in a scene because it just looks like a loop at times. The character models are really good. I really like where nova/jinx climbed up the table seamlesly in 0.5, I hope there are more content for each characters.
I really like the horror and mystery segments as it gives weight and seriousness to the story
10/10 as of 0.5 I hope the story and the humor gets even better
Glad youre enjoyijng it. For an indie game VA is usually not possible its very expensive and adds massive amounts of developement time.
As far as sex scenes as the relationships progress those will as well. This is a story and character first focused game.
Please refrain from posting spoilers about 0.5 it's not been publicly released yet. Outside of patreon and subscribestar anything else out right now is pirated. Public release is 2/14.

Just got done playing 0.5, and I must say, this is one of the best stories I've ever played, don't get me wrong, I love the porn stuff, but the story is what really makes this game stand out to me. Keep up the amazing work, can't wait to see what 0.6 has in store.

So I played your demo, and I must say, the plot is genius, graphics were fantastic, I would even donate to the cause, but not at it's current game content. I would be a donater if u had about half of this game completed. However, due to lack of content, I can't see donating as of yet
Glad youre enjoying, development of a project this size for an indie project for one person is a huge amount of work. It's a big project. The amount of content currently done actually already eclipses some finished AVNs and the frequency and size of the updates is very high for the AVN genre.
That's good news for sure, as I can tell it's a huge game with a ton of content, and I was super addicted to the game within a game concept and how brilliant the plot is all executed.
i know that making an animation is veryyyyyy hard that.'s why i can't say that make ur game fully animated coz i m also animator. All i can say that add audio plzz coz i m so lazy to read....
Sadly that costs a whole lot of money for good VA and a massive amount of development time. Fully voiced AVNs for a one or two man project really isnt feasible.
How the audio is blended in it's current state and plot readability, adding more audio just to sate ur lack of motivation to read is assinine. The way it's made now is flawless and ultra immersive if you just lose yourself in it.
