this VN is great. Even outside of the porn aspect. It has great humor, lovable characters and honestly a pretty compelling story. My favorite part gotta be the attention to detail and references like Micaela being the dancer of the boreal valley, luna casually summoning pyramid head or the FTL shuttles.
There is no doubt that Eternum is the most fantastic novel I had read recent years. I usually tell others that the best adult-game developper would make the players fall in love with the story and forget about the sex scenes. And Eternum really made it, all hot scenes are very natrual, nothing abrupt. Keep going Caribdis!

Anytime! Once in a lifetime set the stage, along with the standards. Eternum takes those standards, and turns it up to 11. Perfect blend of robust; well-written storyline and dialogue, romantic engagement without it seeming too obvious, and character modeling. I've promo'ed this to all of my literary friends, and they agree all the same. Looking forward to the next update!
I did speed run the game at the start because I lost my data and I messed up and redid it 2 times but I got all the scenes and even found out the blank choice effected part of this update found it cool.
Absolutely love this VN, Once in a Lifetime was by far my favorite VN of all time and Eternum is definitely living up, or even exceeding, the standards its predecessor set.
P.S. For the love of god, please make a sex scene with at least one of the praetorians, definitely top 5 girl design in the game

If you have sex in Eternum it doesn't really count right? I mean your real body is in a bed wasting away while you play. So technically speaking, if a person went into Eternum a virgin, and they have sex there all the time, but not IRL, then they're still a virgin. They have simulated experience. Not ACTUAL experience. If sims counted for real life experience, then dating sim games would mean we all are dating women all the time and have harems in like 6 games. That's just not true. So if Eternum was real, I wouldn't see the appeal of sex in the game. You feel it, but it's not real. It's a simulation with another person playing a VR game. No more real than sex phone calls. Add to that with all the corruption and murder and cruelty, you're better off just sticking to real life.
but what if the real world is just another world inside eternum... and the chip is just a device that let you jump between different worlds doing a copy of you?
I do believe that Eternum and the school life stuff is all one game. But from the POV of those in the story who think otherwise, I wouldn't put too much stock in sex in the game. It's like how in .hack//GU where people got depraved and loved killing in the game so much that they formed guilds just to murder newbies and troll people. Now imagine a group of losers IRL get into Eternum and become god tier in the game and everyone respects them for playing the game so well. And they bang whores all day long when they're not in raids. In their mind they pat themselves on the back for all the sex and fame they get but it's not real. It's just you playing a sim.
Unless there's some big reveal that playing Eternum is just teleporting your real body to a real world somewhere in space, it's all fake. So no matter how much fame or sex you have, IRL you're still just some jackass. Sure they say you have to work out to become strong in the game. But that's not how magic works. So if you stick to just mage servers and use magic and never work out you don't even have to work that hard for that.
The main problem with Eternum is what everyone is glossing over in the game. For all the glitz and glamor and depraved sex and war, none of it will fill the voids in their lives. For every Lex Luthor wanna-be trying to rule Eternum, that's still not the world. You're not taking over the world. It's a game. For everyone Isekai-hero-wanna-be, being the strongest in the game still means someone could shoot your real body as you sleep in your bed. None of it matters.
It's smarter to stop Eternum and the people who made it than play around in it and become part of the problem. And it saddens me that even the heroes have drank the Kool-Aid on that front. None of them care about helping people or the very real problems in the game and the society it's ruining. They care about sex, money, and winning. Maybe the whole point of the game is to teach people to stop being apathetic or selfish. The actual game, not the game in lore.

I see what you're saying. But unless the main characters are selfish or shortsighted, they know something is dead wrong about the game. Yet they log on again and again like addicts. They don't think "what am I doing giving money to a company that allows this". They don't think "all this evil and cruelty and I want to be a part of this community". They instead think, "I wanna hang out with my buddies and have sex and win fights and right and wrong are something for cops to deal with".
All someone would have to do is TELL me people get raped in the game ONCE and I would never buy the game. They even made it clear the cops in the game can't be everywhere and sometimes they get killed off. That's useless. That means might makes right. You can do whatever you want as long as you're OP. Even the admins won't stop you. Or someone would have stopped a lot of criminals in the game by now.

It feels like they're selling their souls to a company that is just giving them the wild west meets Mad Max and they're willing to pay $2500 for it just to get killed and raped with other players.
Make a lot of sense, the game is good for me for now, i like the jokes, i like the history until now, but what you said is true, why the hell they continue to play despite knowing all those problems in Eternum? Well maybe this will be answered in another update... it's a major question.
Maybe this has something to do with those visions the MC keep seeing, since some of those visions he see when he is offline.
Maybe this has something to do with that letter he got from the little girl, since that letter mention a demon from Solomon's book.

the people drawn to Eternum seem to be the corrupt or the greedy mainly. And those who don't mind being VR hookers. I think the MC Orion will rule the game and fix things, maybe, but only in the final chapter, not anytime soon.
Yeah sadly I could see an ending where all you do is have an orgy with the harem and ignore the suffering of the people and just be king of a corrupt hellscape. That kinda ending happens more often than I like to acknowledge

This game is really great, by far the best VN I've played (only once in a lifetime coming close). Besides the lewd scenes, which are really good as well, the game is very well written. The characters have engaging personalities, the writing is often quite funny and it makes you quickly get involved with the storyline.
Nope, you have to either start from beginning or load one of the saves. If you look in the A page when you load a save, there should be automatic saves which might be saved at the point before 0.3 ends.
I never thought I'd ever be invested in a "porn" game, but man, this is so much more than just that. Actually read every single line of dialogue. This universe is so damn interesting, with actually fun and interesting characters. The hot girls and the sex scenes are a big plus, but I'd probably still play this without them. What a great job the devs have done on this, please do keep it coming! If there ever is a full release of the game ill throw down the big etrernals. Thank you.

The main character has played Eternum before and the whole game, even the school life, is all still the game. He wipes his memory before going in, so he can't just use the same old tricks to win. He's beat it so much he had to wipe his memory just for a challenge. This new update SCREAMS at me that my theory is sound.
Problem is, I bet he doesn't see that the game has become an addiction. For him and the other playing it. In the end, he will have to shut down the game. And that's GAME OVER. No harem ending. Simply because, that would be wrong. Those are all characters. In the end, you turn off the game, and go live a real life. And free all those addicted to the game from your own creation. Your own beautiful Hell.
I hope I'm wrong but everything about Eternum screams that everything in it is a distraction from the real problem. All the sex in the world doesn't change how evil most people are running around Eternum. Even the ladies with Orion seem like a distraction when he could be saving the world from an evil organization. Especially how they seem to keep implying how depraved sexually some of them can get. I mean Nancy getting a nickname of Saturn? As in Saturnellia? No something I can respect.
You should be able to ignore/rollback error message then proceed to play the game. That's the problem with crash fix version as it uses older version of Ren'py the game shouldn't use.
I don't think that will work either. We had a user on discord who tried both JoiPlay and official app. The problem here is mostly related to the phone's SoC not being able to handle new Ren'py version. And switching Ren'py version isn't as easy as you may think.
I'm probably the guy, i had many problems with the 7.4.X Ren'Py and asked for alternative builds of the games in many discords. Tom (Ren'Py creator) changed how Ren'Py render works in 7.5.X/8.0, now it works like a charm. The latest JoiPlay uses Ren'Py 7.5.X/8.0 (and forces the games to use it too). I really think its worth a try.
In the meantime, I'll have to say, that the wait was worth it, I laughed my ass off at the heist, Chang has the best plans (get Chang'd mf), and Jerry dieing is a running gag that I will always laugh at. Dalia vs Micaela was a great scene, as well as the protag Falcon punching Brock in the face, and man, the Dalia scene has to be my favorite of this update.
After that, the Andromeda date, I'll have to say that this has my favorite scenery, the Xenomorphs are perfectly creepy and hearing Isaac on the voice logs is a breath of fresh air in comparison of having to read every dialogue (Voice acting should be added ngl)
Then the Mansion scene with Alex was great, and the final scene with the founder has me hyped as fuck.

Need some help! After updating to 0.4, I am getting an exception error when loading my old save. If I proceed, it just restarts the whole game. If I rollback, it just crashes. Any ideas?
You should try loading another save that's saved before that point and continue from that point. You might have saved at a point which might be removed in new update.

Oceans 12 was what came to my mind when we were being interrogated by the owner of the bank. It felt like a movie; the choices and comedy with Nova (still my favorite girl, by the by. What alluring splendour), the surprising transformation of Alex, the last stand of our 40-something Novistadors whilst the gang pilfers the Gem of Doom. Glorious storytelling, bruv.

Honestly, I don't know if it's just a repeated loop of winning 20 Eternals every time you spin twice and lose but that was brilliant display of ingenuity for the player to focus on, especially in the even that they are a pathological gambler.

Dang! You reased the bar yet another level. This update was laugh out loud funny. It added alot to an already impressive story. Even the graphics have improved. This game is a 12,5 out of 10 for me.

The choice where you choose your items when you first play get in the game you if you pick the necklace you live from the explosion. nothing to crazy

I see what you're saying. But unless the main characters are selfish or shortsighted, they know something is dead wrong about the game. Yet they log on again and again like addicts. They don't think "what am I doing giving money to a company that allows this". They don't think "all this evil and cruelty and I want to be a part of this community". They instead think, "I wanna hang out with my buddies and have sex and win fights and right and wrong are something for cops to deal with".
All someone would have to do is TELL me people get raped in the game ONCE and I would never buy the game. They even made it clear the cops in the game can't be everywhere and sometimes they get killed off. That's useless. That means might makes right. You can do whatever you want as long as you're OP. Even the admins won't stop you. Or someone would have stopped a lot of criminals in the game by now.
Given that, is it worth it? They really just wanna think like horny teens, even Nancy, and just play around and joke and have sex. Say they don't care to be heroes or compassionate or stick their neck out to help people in the game. Say all that. Okay, so why not just get rid of the game and hang out IRL? Why pay the company? Why put money in the pockets of an clearly corrupt company? Why be a part of the problem? It sicken me. I don't want to do it. I want to stop it and shut it down. But they players/characters just keep playing around and not seeing the big picture. It's so obvious. It's like they're on drugs and too addicted to see that they're on drugs. It's like walking into a room with a werewolf but because it doesn't attack you, you're okay with it. No questions asked, no alarm sounded.
Call me naive. Call me crazy. Call me a square or a fool. But given what they have seen in the game and the stuff that has happened to them that has felt real, I don't honestly think any of them should be playing anymore. Trauma and fear and hate for those moments should have taken their toll. And maybe they would want to prevent others from ending up scarred like that. I know I would.
So no, I don't care for sex in Eternum. I don't care how good it feels. I don't care if the characters like it. It feels like they're selling their souls to a company that is just giving them the wild west meets Mad Max and they're willing to pay $2500 for it just to get killed and raped with other players.

Make a lot of sense, the game is good for me for now, i like the jokes, i like the history until now, but what you said is true, why the hell they continue to play despite knowing all those problems in Eternum? Well maybe this will be answered in another update... it's a major question.
Maybe this has something to do with those visions the MC keep seeing, since some of those visions he see when he is offline.
Maybe this has something to do with that letter he got from the little girl, since that letter mention a demon from Solomon's book.

Not an answer but using skip text and the walkthrough can get you to 0.4's begining in like 3 min, tops.
This game is really great, by far the best VN I've played (only once in a lifetime coming close). Besides the lewd scenes, which are really good as well, the game is very well written. The characters have engaging personalities, the writing is often quite funny and it makes you quickly get involved with the storyline.
All in all 10/10 game!

Nope, you have to either start from beginning or load one of the saves. If you look in the A page when you load a save, there should be automatic saves which might be saved at the point before 0.3 ends.
I never thought I'd ever be invested in a "porn" game, but man, this is so much more than just that. Actually read every single line of dialogue. This universe is so damn interesting, with actually fun and interesting characters. The hot girls and the sex scenes are a big plus, but I'd probably still play this without them. What a great job the devs have done on this, please do keep it coming! If there ever is a full release of the game ill throw down the big etrernals. Thank you.

The main character has played Eternum before and the whole game, even the school life, is all still the game. He wipes his memory before going in, so he can't just use the same old tricks to win. He's beat it so much he had to wipe his memory just for a challenge. This new update SCREAMS at me that my theory is sound.
Problem is, I bet he doesn't see that the game has become an addiction. For him and the other playing it. In the end, he will have to shut down the game. And that's GAME OVER. No harem ending. Simply because, that would be wrong. Those are all characters. In the end, you turn off the game, and go live a real life. And free all those addicted to the game from your own creation. Your own beautiful Hell.

I hope I'm wrong but everything about Eternum screams that everything in it is a distraction from the real problem. All the sex in the world doesn't change how evil most people are running around Eternum. Even the ladies with Orion seem like a distraction when he could be saving the world from an evil organization. Especially how they seem to keep implying how depraved sexually some of them can get. I mean Nancy getting a nickname of Saturn? As in Saturnellia? No something I can respect.

You should be able to ignore/rollback error message then proceed to play the game. That's the problem with crash fix version as it uses older version of Ren'py the game shouldn't use.
Android? Try using JoiPlay (their latest stable version on Patreon) and the PC version of Eternum.
I don't think that will work either. We had a user on discord who tried both JoiPlay and official app. The problem here is mostly related to the phone's SoC not being able to handle new Ren'py version. And switching Ren'py version isn't as easy as you may think.
I'm probably the guy, i had many problems with the 7.4.X Ren'Py and asked for alternative builds of the games in many discords. Tom (Ren'Py creator) changed how Ren'Py render works in 7.5.X/8.0, now it works like a charm. The latest JoiPlay uses Ren'Py 7.5.X/8.0 (and forces the games to use it too). I really think its worth a try.

In the meantime, I'll have to say, that the wait was worth it, I laughed my ass off at the heist, Chang has the best plans (get Chang'd mf), and Jerry dieing is a running gag that I will always laugh at. Dalia vs Micaela was a great scene, as well as the protag Falcon punching Brock in the face, and man, the Dalia scene has to be my favorite of this update.
After that, the Andromeda date, I'll have to say that this has my favorite scenery, the Xenomorphs are perfectly creepy and hearing Isaac on the voice logs is a breath of fresh air in comparison of having to read every dialogue (Voice acting should be added ngl)
Then the Mansion scene with Alex was great, and the final scene with the founder has me hyped as fuck.

Need some help! After updating to 0.4, I am getting an exception error when loading my old save. If I proceed, it just restarts the whole game. If I rollback, it just crashes. Any ideas?
You should try loading another save that's saved before that point and continue from that point. You might have saved at a point which might be removed in new update.

Oceans 12 was what came to my mind when we were being interrogated by the owner of the bank. It felt like a movie; the choices and comedy with Nova (still my favorite girl, by the by. What alluring splendour), the surprising transformation of Alex, the last stand of our 40-something Novistadors whilst the gang pilfers the Gem of Doom. Glorious storytelling, bruv.

Honestly, I don't know if it's just a repeated loop of winning 20 Eternals every time you spin twice and lose but that was brilliant display of ingenuity for the player to focus on, especially in the even that they are a pathological gambler.
