i don't usually write reviews for things like this, but i thought that i really should for this game because i'm genuinely blown away by it.
this game is absolutely incredible, and calling it anything other than that would be the understatement of the century. obviously yeah, it's a porn game, and i feel like that could automatically take away from its integrity as a "good game," but this game seriously has such an amazing and immersive story that has me begging for more. i cannot wait for the next update, whenever it is.
the secrets of eternum are so captivating: its true nature, who the mysterious "founder" is, what its purpose is, how it was created. i never stopped being completely sucked in to every twist and turn. i recently got a new computer so i had to restart my run (got a little less than halfway through on my first time around) but i've still been playing it all night, and i'm just so invested into its world and its characters.
speaking of the characters, this game's characters are genuinely well written and feel like relatively understandable people. while each of them broadly fit a certain niche/kink (step-mom, nerd, goth, etc.) they aren't necessarily constrained to those categories and i love them for that. they have their own unique personality traits and things that differ them from the other characters and generally other characters from other media that share their traits. of course, i love all of the main cast of girls, but i am especially fond of chang. he genuinely might be one of the funniest characters i've ever seen in a game. i never imagined i would fully laugh out loud while playing a porn game, but most of chang's scenes made me do that. plus, he's a bro to the end, so how could you ever NOT like him?
i am so excited to see how this game progresses in its development and i'll probably get around to donating to caribdis officially one of these days. i swear, if all the explicit content was removed from this game and it was sold as just a visual novel dating sim, it would be SUUUPER popular. i would bet it would be as popular as DDLC was back when it came out. i certainly did not expect to be heavily invested in the world and story of a porn game, but here we are.
oh, also, just to close---what the fuck was that horror segment? of all the things i expected, that might have actually been the last one. it was genuinely well done though. when the prompt came up to use the CAMERA to navigate through the darkness i think i peed a little.
solid game, would recommend. will be waiting impatiently for the next story update.

So.... I have literally ZERO problems with this game thus far. It is nothing shy of perfect, not here to leave a review. Everything I love about the game has probably been said thousands of times over. Maybe at some point in the future when the game's story is mostly completed and I finish it, I would write a review on it. Just one thing I'd like to ask for in the next update is if you could make it so that the girls' gallery portraits aren't bonded, and we can have something like outfit 3 for girl 1, outfit 5 for girl 3 and outfit 2 for girl 6, for instance. It kinda sucks that they're locked in a chain, and also if one or more girls don't have the same number of outfits as one you choose for someone else, they default to outfit 1.
And then there are just grammar things and way things are said which I think could be improved upon, made to be spoken or flowing more naturally, and overall improve the experience of this game I've enjoyed playing more than 99% of games in the last few years, erotic or not, but it's not strictly necessary. I love this game though, and have plenty of free time, sometimes.. (It depends honestly) and I'd love to go thru the game from the beginning to the end of where the game's progress is currently (In my playthrough rn, I'm just about to be going to the dinner thing with all the big shots), and just give some personal thoughts and opinions, as well as more objective corrections and stuff. And I'm not asking to be paid at all. It's a free game and I appreciate and respect that. I'm truly lucky to be able to play this game without spending a dime. I really really REALLY love this game. And I'm not ready for it to be over, but alas all good things come to an end... But still... I'd love if development both game/feature-wise and also story/path/relationship-wise, could go beyond just 1.0 or when the "non-sexual" climax is reached XD hahaha. And if you could have some way to keep playing the game past a "The End" screen, I'd love that. Not just in an epilogue sense, but that'd be cool too. I'll probably end up just taking this feedback to patreon/subscribestar though, for a better chance to be heard lol. Especially as there's a lot I want to expand on with that in mind.

I am stuck in the collector's house. The briefcase interface is inaccessible with keyboard.
