Yes it is determined, the important things is the choice in this game really matter. If you skip a part, you can really skip a Whole event in this game💀 so choose carefully. But thare Will be some event that you need to roaming a place to Continuing the story. You need to point and click in some event. Iike the horor server, the magic server, and the space ship server.

You make the games so well that it kind of ruins the horny game scene genre for me because once I finish the update I try playing other games and they're so boring in comparison and feel so emotionless compared. And ik i'm not the only person addicted to your games to the point where we feel empty after haha. The only other games I have actually enjoyed are the being a Dik games and Desert stalker but with respect to the developers, I mean they don't match the same vibes. The horror is on point, I sometimes feel myself having to check my room for some kind of monster, even0 as a grown a$$ adult since I usually play the game updates in the dark during early hours. Also the sad scenes make it really hard to enjoy the horny scenes sometimes haha which just shows the level of writing and emotional connection you create, I'm referring to one specifically as of 0.7 but in general the writing is just so good. The flirty scenes are well written and you could imagine them kind of things actually happening as opposed to it all being forced. I haven't spotted one text error either the game is pristine. The humour is so well done, especially when it links into those previously mentioned horror moments, enough to make you laugh but also having the uneasy feeling of suspense going on in the background. But the normal humour and horny related humour is funny too: "no more daydreaming about women for today" -> "ah, good morning Na-" *MC dies* (That bathrobe is a menace)
Ik some people want the art style looking more realistic (well I only actually saw one post ever about that), but the visuals are beautiful, especially the lighting, never change the art style it is absolutely stunning. Once in a lifetime looked amazing but going to this game I remember my jaw being wide open seeing some of the visuals, I forget I'm not playing some AAA title or watching a show with how immersive it is. The sound is done perfectly too.
Pretty sure I made a post on 0.5's or 0.6's release about how I had a temporary post-playing sadness period bc the games you make are that good and I feel it again dammit!
Anyway this went on too long I was actually just going to ask about any future plans you had after Eternum but got carried away. I'd love to see if there is some kind of link between the overall story of the 2 games and any future ones, or maybe even a direct sequel to Eternum (Please consider this!!!) or once in a lifetime in the future, or some kind of DLC. Like maybe Once in a lifetime could actually be a part of the Eternum story now due to the... recent developments in Eternum's storyline and what we know about it now... Trying to say stuff without spoilers haha but I'm sure you can work out what I mean. But that's if you actually have some kind of Marvel cinematic universe type vision for these game and don't just consider them separate. If you wanted I think it could open up so many wacky cool ideas in the future but honestly Idk how the story will end (but I know the next game will be just as cool and wacky) I do think I remember seeing the comedic reoccurring character from once in a lifetime in eternum for a scene but it was that long ago I'm not sure ( I forgot his name, but I remember you did a similar thing in eternum for a bit with that character who's name I forgot. Edit: just got to the scene - chop chop lmao.
I think I asked when you finished Once in a Lifetime if there was anyway you could carry it on because I was addicted to it and I think I did the same for 0.5 or 0.6's release and I'm gonna do it again because I reallyyyy wish the same for this one - you just get so attached to the characters and the whole Eternum story. It is so cool and it feels like the story is so rich that I will randomly think of one thing that I forgot I played through months ago with it feeling like a different game just due to the sheer amount of amazing content. And that's the main thing I love about this game, you just have stuff from every genre. Western, cyberpunk kind of elements, Ready player 1 elements, the medieval elements too. Like it's so ambitious and the game is trying to be so many different things and it works so well. I really hope you do this with your next game too it's so cool, the harry potter parody was hilarious too. Edit: The mystery is also so good but it's so interlaced with the horror and shock moments that I consider it all the same. Love the writing so much. even the transitions are so amazing, i always go back and try and see the hidden details in them, like how there is the glitched idriel popup screen whenever stuff gets all weird.
Whatever you decide to make in the future, we will all love it! As devastating as it would be never to see the characters from this game again (but it'd have to be involving Orion if you did bc he's protective of his girls yk haha), it wouldn't compare to the loss of having you never make another game after. Second, theorycrafting guys! I'm just spitballing here, but, to me, Chop Chop is something far more than he is. Every time he's popped up, I can't help but wonder what his real agenda is. I know he looks like a minor character, but I dunno why, something tells me he's far more important than he appears. He seems to have something pretty important every time you run into him. Any thoughts about this? I...honestly don't have much of an idea. If I had to guess, I'd say he probably has some relevance when it comes to Eternum being, um.....without spoiling anything for those who haven't gotten there yet....not 'just a video game'. Wouldn't be surprised that he knows something is special about MC and is trying to guide him in the right direction to get all the gems, but how that'd all be true, I have zero idea. Nope. Once in a Lifetime shares the same setting as Eternum, with the latter taking place more than a decade after the events of OIAL. The info about it is posted on the FAQ page on Cari's Discord, with the timeline based on what Judie said about Eternum launching a year from then and Orion's monologue where he said that it's been more than a decade since release.
Also, Orion's monologue at the beginning mentioned "Former President Stabb (Michael Stabb was Stabby Mike's real name as revealed in the OIAL Harem end)," so yeah it's been a while ever since.
This game is a masterpiece! I just finished it twice, i love how was the story written, Luna and her dad is my favourite characters! I hope on 0.8 Mr Hernandez will have more screentime. Awesome game. 10/10

I'm not sure if this is a team effort or a single dev, but omg you (you guys) crushed it with this game. I started playing during 0.6, and I'm now playing through 0.7, and the way that you weave characters and narratives together is amazing. This game is unlike any other porn-driven game i've ever played. It focuses on just the right things all while still being hot and fun. I love your characters and how human they feel. Luna and her dad crack me up every time and it's so cool that you managed to capture the essence of fun relationships like them, and Dalia and Orion. Thank you for making this amazing experience free to play, and good luck in future developement.

I recently lost my phone, and with that my save game file for the end of 6. Is there a way to install the game, and start at the beginning of 7, and not the first chapter?
if you dont find a way to start at the beginning of 7, I would recommend changing your preferences in gameplay under the skip options to skip unseen scenes/text , I was thinking about this scenario the other day where if I somehow lost my save what i would do. Yea you still have to fast forward through so much , I think it's better than clicking through.
How would you guys describe the theme/genre of the story? I'm currently on my first playthrough and I'm loving it. I was just curious if there were other games out there that delve into the same themes of shang ri la frontier and solo leveling. I wanted to find more experiences that deal with simulation breaking and "chosen one" vibes.
Also this game is awesome, its just a shame when I tell people about this awesome visual novel I have been playing I don't wanna name drop because they'd think im a filthy horn dog lol. Great job Caribdis I loved once in a liftetime and didn't think anything could top that, it shows how creative and passionate your team is. Too late to discover the earth, too early to explore the stars, but born just in time to play this master piece of a "video game". this is definitely realer than real.
Truthfully there's no game like Eternum. The level of production and quality is shocking. Even in pay-to-play porn games, the plot and characters are never this good. I enjoyed Desert Stalker and Knightly Passions, but both either lack the quality of design or quality of intimate scenes, Eternum nails both, all while keeping an amazing narrative like you said. Genuinely hyped for the future of the game, and more of my thoughts are available right above your comment.

This was my first visual novel I've ever played. I... I'm in utter shock at how good it is. I love it. I've not felt something tug on my heartstrings as much as Eternum has. I am sat on the edge of my seat wanting a time machine so I can go into the future and see the finished game.

I'm getting some kind of error, where some replays on the Gallery somehow gets locked. Then I have to revisit this scene, by getting back on some save and skipping 'till get the scene again. Anyone had this issue?

Definitely better than OiaL. The MC of that game often came across as manipulative and sleazy, but the MC in Eternum comes across as a better person. It's for that reason I decided to have him pursue a monagamous path and deliberately avoid as much fanservice or alternate paths as I possibly could. It worked surprisingly well, and it didn't require the MC to be rude or even unkind.
Making the game an ensemble cast working together, with everyone having different strengths, and all being relevant at various times also helps, since people still get some stuff to do even when locked out.
... Although perhaps the feeling that you can play a "nice guy" is just because I chose to be exclusive with Annie, which lends itself better to that playstyle.
Given her frustrating with feeling useless and her wish to seen as being useful by the MC, I think it would be nice if eventually she has to overcome her fear of scary things and gets to save the MC.
I will preface this with saying I am waiting to play Eternum. I would hope this is better than Once in a Lifetime. As is, you could see the improvements throughout it, and this is meant to be bigger than it lol. So it's great to hear that Caribdis is still improving on an already great foundation :D
that is exactly why I am choosing to wait lmao. I just tried this one called Realm Invader that only has 2 "episodes" currently. A lot of comments were positive, and saw one compare it to Caribdis, so I gave it a go. I want more xD. And I know if I just jump into Eternum now ima be big sadge when I hit the end of the current content instead of the whole story like I did with OiaL. I know it's *roughly* 80% ish done. So I can wait a bit longer, play the whole thing, then drop money on Caribdis again like I did with the prior game lol. Really glad to hear he's improved so much, makes me look forward to it :D
No it isn't 80% done. It's going to go beyond 10 updates, with the latest estimate around 12-14 updates total by the end. So we're still about 50-60% done with the main story if the estimates hold up.
I say 80% ish because it's at 0.8 atm. Once it hits 1.0 is usually when story is classed as "finished" then any updates or add-ons after that are like 1.1 1.2 etc
That said, I did notice a couple instances where the game did assume I was playing the field.
- Before the first visit to the "New World" server, Nancy called the MC a playboy, jumping from one date to another, even though I had only actually been on one date. That was the one with Annie in Eternum, and that was supposed to have been a secret. Literally everyone else had been greyed out a couple chapters ago or even earlier.
- Just before going to get pizza, the MC says that getting the pizza to surprise Nancy makes him a "hopeless romantic", which felt odd since her path had been grey since turning down going to yoga with her.
- Similarly in the last scene of Ch. 7, a certain character accuses the MC of being "intoxicated with women." That might be a little fair, but still, everyone else had been greyed out without any reaching any encounter, so it didn't quite make full sense. Being exclusive with one doesn't match the description of "intoxicated."
Seems to me that the game being set up to accommodate that play style and still preserve the plot is beyond what one should expect. Sounds like going to a rib shack, ordering just a salad, then being put-off that there are no maple syrup or coconut milk based dressings available.
Maybe like with taking over empires, one of Nancy's skills is knowing when everyone else is having encounters. I've never tried to play past Maat without one; I may go see how that works out. Or maybe 'date' is just spending time individually with all the different women, which MC has to do. "Hopeless romantic" is accurate no matter what other explanations apply, as MC's in-game reasons for choosing Annie only are limited to what we see in the text, not to your particular reasons for following that path, which couldn't possibly be reflected in the text.
I was merely making observations. Not all feedback is going to match the creator's intentions, but it's up to them to decide which feedback to consider and which to ignore. Yes, it may be the case that picking one person's story to the exclusion of others is not the intended route. However, cutting off potential routes is built into the game. If cutting off routes wasn't intended, you wouldn't be able to. Besides, playing in a way which is possible-but-not-intended is a good idea, it helps check for bugs and such.
I fully agree on choice. However, the nature of this game is not monogamous, and the various characters hint strongly at the planned combinations, even if MC is off-screen.
It is even set up so that not pursuing them, in most cases, makes their virtual existence worse, so intentionally cutting off routes in this game is abandoning them.
Short answer: the dev made it so people could play monogamy, but doing so is like buying Turbotax Premium and filing a sing 1040EZ.

When you tried to get to the old save files? Older Android versions won't let you access the "Android/data" folder by any means, so I guess you either have to give up your old saves or look into rooting your device, which would require substantial effort.

I was just curious if there were other games out there that delve into the same themes of shang ri la frontier and solo leveling. I wanted to find more experiences that deal with simulation breaking and "chosen one" vibes.
Also this game is awesome, its just a shame when I tell people about this awesome visual novel I have been playing I don't wanna name drop because they'd think im a filthy horn dog lol. Great job Caribdis I loved once in a liftetime and didn't think anything could top that, it shows how creative and passionate your team is. Too late to discover the earth, too early to explore the stars, but born just in time to play this master piece of a "video game". this is definitely realer than real.
Truthfully there's no game like Eternum. The level of production and quality is shocking. Even in pay-to-play porn games, the plot and characters are never this good. I enjoyed Desert Stalker and Knightly Passions, but both either lack the quality of design or quality of intimate scenes, Eternum nails both, all while keeping an amazing narrative like you said. Genuinely hyped for the future of the game, and more of my thoughts are available right above your comment.

This was my first visual novel I've ever played. I... I'm in utter shock at how good it is. I love it. I've not felt something tug on my heartstrings as much as Eternum has. I am sat on the edge of my seat wanting a time machine so I can go into the future and see the finished game.
A very solid and well deserved 10/10. I will wait with bated breath for the next update.
It's not gonna end in 3 chapters. Latest estimate by dev is that it'll go for 12-14 chapters total.

Definitely better than OiaL. The MC of that game often came across as manipulative and sleazy, but the MC in Eternum comes across as a better person. It's for that reason I decided to have him pursue a monagamous path and deliberately avoid as much fanservice or alternate paths as I possibly could. It worked surprisingly well, and it didn't require the MC to be rude or even unkind.
Making the game an ensemble cast working together, with everyone having different strengths, and all being relevant at various times also helps, since people still get some stuff to do even when locked out.
... Although perhaps the feeling that you can play a "nice guy" is just because I chose to be exclusive with Annie, which lends itself better to that playstyle.Given her frustrating with feeling useless and her wish to seen as being useful by the MC, I think it would be nice if eventually she has to overcome her fear of scary things and gets to save the MC.
I will preface this with saying I am waiting to play Eternum. I would hope this is better than Once in a Lifetime. As is, you could see the improvements throughout it, and this is meant to be bigger than it lol. So it's great to hear that Caribdis is still improving on an already great foundation :D

that is exactly why I am choosing to wait lmao. I just tried this one called Realm Invader that only has 2 "episodes" currently. A lot of comments were positive, and saw one compare it to Caribdis, so I gave it a go. I want more xD. And I know if I just jump into Eternum now ima be big sadge when I hit the end of the current content instead of the whole story like I did with OiaL. I know it's *roughly* 80% ish done. So I can wait a bit longer, play the whole thing, then drop money on Caribdis again like I did with the prior game lol. Really glad to hear he's improved so much, makes me look forward to it :D
No it isn't 80% done. It's going to go beyond 10 updates, with the latest estimate around 12-14 updates total by the end. So we're still about 50-60% done with the main story if the estimates hold up.

I say 80% ish because it's at 0.8 atm. Once it hits 1.0 is usually when story is classed as "finished" then any updates or add-ons after that are like 1.1 1.2 etc
That said, I did notice a couple instances where the game did assume I was playing the field.
- Before the first visit to the "New World" server, Nancy called the MC a playboy, jumping from one date to another, even though I had only actually been on one date. That was the one with Annie in Eternum, and that was supposed to have been a secret. Literally everyone else had been greyed out a couple chapters ago or even earlier.
- Just before going to get pizza, the MC says that getting the pizza to surprise Nancy makes him a "hopeless romantic", which felt odd since her path had been grey since turning down going to yoga with her.
- Similarly in the last scene of Ch. 7, a certain character accuses the MC of being "intoxicated with women." That might be a little fair, but still, everyone else had been greyed out without any reaching any encounter, so it didn't quite make full sense. Being exclusive with one doesn't match the description of "intoxicated."
Seems to me that the game being set up to accommodate that play style and still preserve the plot is beyond what one should expect. Sounds like going to a rib shack, ordering just a salad, then being put-off that there are no maple syrup or coconut milk based dressings available.
Maybe like with taking over empires, one of Nancy's skills is knowing when everyone else is having encounters. I've never tried to play past Maat without one; I may go see how that works out. Or maybe 'date' is just spending time individually with all the different women, which MC has to do. "Hopeless romantic" is accurate no matter what other explanations apply, as MC's in-game reasons for choosing Annie only are limited to what we see in the text, not to your particular reasons for following that path, which couldn't possibly be reflected in the text.
I was merely making observations. Not all feedback is going to match the creator's intentions, but it's up to them to decide which feedback to consider and which to ignore. Yes, it may be the case that picking one person's story to the exclusion of others is not the intended route. However, cutting off potential routes is built into the game. If cutting off routes wasn't intended, you wouldn't be able to. Besides, playing in a way which is possible-but-not-intended is a good idea, it helps check for bugs and such.
I fully agree on choice. However, the nature of this game is not monogamous, and the various characters hint strongly at the planned combinations, even if MC is off-screen.
It is even set up so that not pursuing them, in most cases, makes their virtual existence worse, so intentionally cutting off routes in this game is abandoning them.
Short answer: the dev made it so people could play monogamy, but doing so is like buying Turbotax Premium and filing a sing 1040EZ.

When you tried to get to the old save files? Older Android versions won't let you access the "Android/data" folder by any means, so I guess you either have to give up your old saves or look into rooting your device, which would require substantial effort.
