TL;DR - Like everyone else I got this game originally for the girls but I stay for the incredibly immersive story, this is genuinely one of the best Adult VNs on the site.

I really liked the more slice of life bits after the intense Eternum chapters from before. I think the pacing fits well.
Luna's whole family are batshit and I love every minute. Mr Hernandez has quickly become one of my favourite characters. The charisma that man wields is on another level. Pancho the chicken is easily the best addition to the Eternum cinematic universe. The family meal as a whole was a nice little moment of peace and Luna's day of the dead outfit and makeup was absolutely gorgeous. The music in all of these scenes was absolutely fantastic.
The college party was fun, Nova looked great as Jinx and the pervy graphics card kid's game was funny. Also, personal preference, Penelope's bitch rival was still smoking hot, the models for these people are top tier.
After breaking into that guy's laptop to try to figure out who Thanatos is; I've come to the conclusion that Nancy is both the sweetest person alive and absolutely goddamn terrifying in equal measure.
Lastly, the cliffhangers are always insane and this was no different. You really know how to blue ball people in the best way possible.
All that being said I can't wait to get back into Eternum itself. Keep up the good work!
I'd just like to ask, and I'm sure a fair few people hated it since they probably had their hand on their dick for most of the game, but are there any plans to do something like the bit where you reunite the creepy ghost mum and daughter in the future? I really enjoyed that even if it did scare me shitless :)

Also, I really appreciate how you made the characters. They're all very likable but you definitely have something for everyone. I personally like Luna the most, but you make sure to cater to different likes. A great way to balance the romance in a game like this.
This is some high tier tin foil hat shit and I approve. My other running theory is that Thanatos and a lot of the other NPCs we see in the game are just people who died while still in the game or were forcefully disconnected and they got cyberpunk soulkillered into this "alternate dimension" you cannot convince me its just a game at this point
Hi Caribdis, i am a big fan of your work, and i would support this game in the future, im sure you've already heard how mesmerizing the characters that you made, especially Nancy, she is in my mind ever since the last 4.0 update and this update did not disappoint, Nancy's new animations were "Phenomenal" beauty in it's peak, in fact, none of your updates disappoint, take your time to rest well and continue whenever you want to, i, and we will wait for this update because we are too attached to the story now, keep the great work Mister Caribdis.
After finishing 0.5, WOW- well written story, characters feel alive and genuinely unique, amazing use of humor and witty references, there's not enough words to describe the amount of PEAK this is.

for anyone who is searching around itch.io or other platforms because you like your smut with a solid story, good humor, interesting characters - this is exactly what you're looking for.
the first section can be a little overwhelming but if you allow yourself to be pulled in, you're in for a wild ride. Once in a Lifetime is great, but this game takes it's to the next level.
Absolutely love the game, but was a bit disappointed with 0.5. just felt like instead of the story advancing and the NSFW scenes happening along the way, the plot was nothing more than a vehicle so you can tick off the girls that you hadn't had scenes with yet. Which left a lot of loose ends -
(SPOILER(S) ALERT:
Like the yearbook was just an excuse to get the protagonist alone with Penny - the two of you trespass into this chick's room and then... just stop caring about the reason they did it in the first place?, or the elevator scene - you've just knocked someone out with a bat and left him tied up in the office... but you stop to get it on)
The cliffhanger is great, but the story didn't really move much until that last scene. And I'm not even sure the detours really developed the characters of the ladies or the relationships with them that much. (Don't get me wrong, I love the sexy stuff but it can be sexy AND develop the story/characters/relationships. It just feels like that was missing from 0.5)
I have to disagree, the pacing wasn't as frenetic as other updates, but I do think it developed a lot several characters. In any case, everyone has their own opinion, of course. Thanks for playing anyway :)
Well I don't fully agree. Sure on the main story I'd love to have more but we still finally met the Foundator and learn some really important things on Thanatos. And lets not forget the "bleeding" effect that the MC is experiencing, that is probably waaaay more that it looks like.
With the girls on another hand we had a really interesting bonding moment with Luna and her familly, it was clearly the main event of this update. The scenes with Nova were pretty cool too, with the manga for example. Sure most of them were NSFW but it still felt like we developt something new with her. She kinda made a new bond with Penny too, it was sweet. I do agree that the scene with Penny and the yearbook was.... wrong tho. I mean, the NSFW scene was hot but the "Oh, that thing that hurt me for 3 years and that really mattered to me a few minutes ago ? Nah forget it." disturbed me. It felt... off. And I agree that the scene with the guy we knocked off felt a bit rush but the explanation was convincing enough, I think? The NSFW that followed felt right to me cause everything has been built for a while now to end to this, our relationship with Nancy was already well developped at this point.
At least, that's my feeling after playing this update, not going in the Eternum and doing real life things with them felt really refreshing.
Every update just blows me away! I do not see many people mention it, but I love the references you make. Especially Pochita in Nova's room. The detail you put in away scene blows me away!
I really want to make my own visual novel inspired by Eternum's animation style. It would be helpful to know where to get pre-made characters assets and what software did you use for the animation?
The update to 0.5 from 0.4 shows three links...all of which I can't use. I get "An error occured during installation. This title is hosted on an incompatible third-party website". Am I missing something or should I download the game separately since the previous updates usually just involved me pressing update for updating within Itch.io Launcher.
I've just finished 0.5 and this game is going better than ever. This game is truely a masterpiece and I wish I had a time machine to go directly to the final release, the wait is killing me.
I was quite happy about the story with Luna. If there was any way to endear her to me even more, you knew it. The hands on time with her was actually a little surprising. I was expecting more build up. I liked it, though, so please don't take that as a criticism.
The only thing I noticed was that the aphrodisiac was the wrong color and didn't have the slight glow like it did in Once in a Lifetime.
Wow! This is my second playthrough for 0.5, and the game is just as great the second time. :) I'm loving the storyline so far and can't wait for 0.6 and beyond. Keep up the great work!

I know I have never been lucky to meet your mother, but if she is a part of you, I know she is also a great person. I admit those puzzles are very convincing Especially when they try to catch and use our deepest fear, it may be disturbing. But if you pay close attention It's easy to end their guessing game, and it's not far from the truth, although their camouflage is very eye-catching You are not a monster, Luna.
i dont know how to fix this first i can't open because some issue " convert.dll is missing " then i spend several time to learn about how to fix and now this is an error

o.m.g. im surprised by all the reviews. after reading them i was excited to try this game and the other one; once in a lifetime....i get these are visual novels, but harrrrd emphasis on novel. like 30-100 clicks in between each decision. sooo long and boring.
a shame because the animation and visuals are really really good. use this style on an rpg like Third Crisis or even something simple like Raven;s Quest and this might be epic.

'Fresh women' is pretty similar, but its alot shorter and the crazy background plot doesn't kick in too much at the beginning.
Would recommend
A pretty good one is Caribdis' older title "Once in a Lifetime".
There's also "Ripples", which is pretty interesting since it dabbles in time travel, paradoxes and greek tragedy.
And also My Bully is My Lover, which has a beautiful story and wonderful characters. I swear I almost cried on prologue chapter 4.

Let me tell you, I LOVED One in a Lifetime. Really. But compared to Eternum ? It was nothing. Just a draft to train before making this masterpiece.
